Allow Me to Reintroduce Myself

Whelp, I’ve gotten off to a rough start here at HipHopDX. I’ve been castigated all week for posting too much, not typing enough, etc. But ya’ll just operate different than other places! So after a tough week, I think it's safe to say I've learned the ropes...the hard way. Nonetheless let’s get some basics understood:

1. If you don’t like me cool. Good to see ya. Save the hella disrespectful comments for the others. You’re not fooling anyone you’re just bored with your life and wish YOU had a blog. And can you please stop MERKING me for the embed fuckin up and other technical difficulties!!! This isn't blogger or wordpress and has its lil twerks and kinks I've had to figure out my damn self. Sheesh, in the immortal words of Silkk da Shocker "IT AIN'T MY FAULT!"

2. My blog centers around my weekly show “Diva Speak TV” a cross between the Dave Chappelle Show and The Daily Show. We have been doing the show weekly since January 8th so anyone who has the nerve to call it a bite better go back to episode 1 of 33 before they throw that barb. I also try to hit ya'll with whatever other shit I find humerous to share with you all throughout the week (hence the numerous vids and multiple posts). I’m just tryin to insert some comedy into what I'm sure for many is a long day workin for the man.

3. I’m a hip-hop head, artist, and visual artist. I’ve been in this game as a fan, an artist, a poet, a journalist, a personality, a host, and a dj. I ain’t no slouch. So say what you want but please don’t test my steez as a credible source of info it simply shows you didn’t look up a sista before tryin to diss her. I earned my stripes and I'll be damned if some internet thugs gone try to test.

4. I just wanna bring good stuff to the forum, educate minds, and make folks laugh. Hopefully, ya’ll are down for the that! YES WE CAN!!!

Shout to the all the other bloggers. I definitely respect your dedication to unique provocative topics and promise to make more of an effort to do as you do. I’m breaking out my writing skills once more just for ya’ll HipHopDX! IT’S BEEN A MINUTE! But sheeeeiiittt if a Black Man can be President we can all step it up right?!

Why Are Ya'll So Mean on Hip Hop DX???

I've just started blogging over here at HipHopDX and i'm really tryin to figure out what is with the INCESSENT hostility?? In one week folks have left comments like:

"Women can't use computers"

"Diva's music is garbage"

and my all time favorite:

"I would rape that bitch in her cunt."

Really would you??? Well here's your time and space to speak your mind and put me on to exactly what the hell the problem is with ya'll folks who take time out to say such evil things. GO IN!

I VOTED!!!

Today was historic. I don't know about ya'll but the joy and pride that swelled up inside of me when I pulled the lever to cast my vote for Barack was immense. Of course there was comedy though. I live in Harlem and my voting site is run by a bunch of elderly Black women. It was like the Bronze Girls (get it, brown golden girls! lol) They were movin HELLA slow and I was honestly worried, like OMG am i gonna get to vote!? I even got cut in line! And the woman (who had a bald spot) looked me dead in the eye and said, "You gonna say something?" LOL I felt like I was at the airport. I don't want noooooo problems! Cuz ain't nothin keepin me from gettin on that flight and wasn't nothing keeping me from voting today!

By tonight we could see the first black President of the United States of America. I beam as I write this filled with the hope of change that comes with Barack Obama. This year has seen him go from an underdog to favorite and through a bevy of names from "Not Black Enough," to "Muslim," "Anti-White," and most recently "Socialist." But I pray that by days end he will hold the title of President of the United States perhaps one day I will be able to tell my children about the journey we have taken with Barack. The trek we have walked to this point when his presidential position seems inevitable. All stars align for Barack Hussein Obama tonight and I hope all hearts aligned for him today at the pols. In these dark times of doubt and crisis he presents as a prospect of fortitude that we need more than ever. Today we are witnessing history, tomorrow the future begins.
