A Statik Insight

Ok, this is my first blog for HipHopDX, so ill start by saying welcome, and thanks for taking a few moments to actually check out what I’ve been doing/working on....

First of all, for my Sopranos heads, i went to Holstens in Bloomfield, New Jersey, and sat in the same booth as Tony ended off in, eating onion rings. Crazy, lol. Peep the pic:



This week has been pretty productive... i started at Digiwaxx.com , which is the worlds dopest online record pool, and about to be something even more.. DJs if you arent signed up, do so asap @ www.digiwaxx.com and all your artists and labels, you definitely should be using them to get your music to DJs (30,000 are registered). The way the feedback is set up is incredible. Ill be consulting them part time and helping build the new site, coming soon.

Last night was the Cornerstone/Smirnoff party @ Arena in NYC. Premo, Pete Rock, 9th Wonder, and Q-tip all tore it down. Q-tip hit me with some big news that im gonna announce soon, stay tuned...



Other than that and my syndicated radio shows i do daily, I've been working steadily completing 3 albums that yall need to know about...

Wednesday night i hit Headquarterz with Termanology and him and Premo made a classic. Yes, i said it... Classic. look for "So Amazing" dropping as soon as next week and believe me, it will be heavy on the radio, internet, and on the mixtapes... I've been A&Ring Term's album and its gonna be timeless. So far we got production from Premo, Alchemist, Pete Rock, Large Professor, Buckwild, Nottz, Showbiz, and there will be a few other legends on there. Bun B has also been showing a lot of interest lately, so hell probably be on it too on a Premo beat!



Ok, another album ive been really working on is my own, which doesn't have a title yet, but has been coming along rapidly. It will be 100% produced by me and features all my favorite MCs, way too many to name. Last night i hit the studio with Kweli & Consequence to work on the next single (which is a remake of an NWA Classic!). look for that in a few weeks... Next week is gonna be crazy, we're shooting the video for  "HARDCORE" ft REKS & TERMANOLOGY, the first leak off my album. Then next month were dropping the 12" with Hardcore and "No Holding Back" ft. AZ & Cormega. That will be on Brick Records, shout out to Karma @ Traffic.

The Third album ive been working on is Reks, so some of yall remember from 2001/2002 when he was poppin on the indi circuit via Landspeed. Like Term, Reppin Lawrence Mass, my Birthplace. Tuesday through Thursday we'll be working on his album, Gray Hairs, which is dropping sooner than you think on Showoff Records! look for a single soon.... Then next Weekend the 29th and 30th, ill be rocking with 215hiphop in Philladelphia Friday @ a club and Saturday with Termanology.
